I don't know about you, but the idea that moments happen in a blink brings a sense of panic to my heart. What if I miss it? What if this specific moment is one of the best in my life, but I didn't fully grasp all of the richness within it? What if I can't remember the way my two year old stood on his tippy toes to give me a kiss? What if it was the last time I got to hug my grandfather? What if I can't visualize the way he cried when I walked down the isle?
This is why I believe photography is a unique, and in some ways invaluable gift. Moments pass and memories fade - but photographs endure.

get to know me
About eight years ago I was a very new mom itching for a creative outlet. One of my best friends who was very established in photography was looking for a sidekick to come shoot alongside of her at weddings. She bravely took me, who knew nothing, under her wing and more than teaching me how to operate a camera, she gave me the gift of discovering and falling in love with preserving the sweetest moments in a person's life.
It wasn't long until I began to capture the simple moments at home with my kids, take photos for friends and family, and even ran a resale business at one point that required me to photograph my products. Fast forward several years later and my gratitude for what photography is and the people it leads me to only grows. As a mama to four little humans and a bride before that I know that photographs are a priceless reminder of who we are, what we cherish most, and where we've come from.
